CDH PARTNERS
Places for Worship
As one of the top ten architectural firms in Atlanta, CDH Partners Inc. has a lot to live up to in presenting the firm to potential clients. Since the company’s inception in 1977 CDH has been a steady leader in the region’s design market for Worship, Medical, and Educational facilities. As a continuation of that leadership CDH decided to partner with Syzygy Productions in the fall of 2004 to create a video intensive, interactive CD-ROM aimed at presenting their firm to prospective clients in the religious sector. The objective was to create a piece that would allow prospects to get an inside, personal look at CDH Partners’ business culture, while at the same time providing them with a valuable resource for the planning of their facility. The finished disc includes seven feature videos and thirty-three individual project studies. The feature videos deliver interview footage from CDH principals and several clients, as well as footage of those clients finished facilities. The project studies section showcases thirty-three projects, telling the story of each facility and showing its progress from start to finish. Ernest Pullen of CDH Partners had this to say about the CD-ROM and the process of creating it through Syzygy Productions, “Many things factor into how a client selects an architect. One crucial element is the need to develop a good rapport in the client-architect relationship. This media allows our prospective clients to get an advanced casual introduction to our principals and hear their passion for the work we do. Syzygy was very responsive to our requests throughout the progression of our project. As we worked through the development of our card, a number of things surfaced such as new projects we wanted to include as a part of our portfolio. Syzygy was willing to keep the process as fluid as possible to allow us to add some important elements that rounded out the presentation”. In the end the project was a huge success for both companies, and plans are under way for the production of a second CD-ROM to showcase CDH Partners’ work in the design of medical facilities.
